The Chandigarh-based light commercial vehicle manufacturer Swaraj Mazda on Wednesday rolled out 40-seater luxury bus worth Rs 60 lakh in partnership with Japanese Truck maker Isuzu Motors Limited. To capture a big-pie in the growing market for luxury buses, the JV is aiming at selling 300 such buses this year.
Isuzu stated the delivery of medium duty bus as CKD kits to Swaraj would start in the last quarter of 2007. The Isuzu buses will be assembled and sold in India under the Isuzu brand through about 130 exclusive dealers of Swaraj.
